IN THE CINEMA ON 1 DECEMBER
"Five years ago I co-directed a film with Mélanie Laurent, Demain, to show that there are solutions to the climate crisis.
Today, Animal tackles the other great ecological crisis: the 6th mass extinction of species. In the last 40 years 68% of all wild vertebrate animal populations have disappeared. The film takes us on a journey around the world to understand this phenomenon, and more importantly, how we can stop it. We want to tell another possible story of the future. To restore hope and enthusiasm. We need it now more than ever.

Synopsis
Bella and Vipulan are 16 years old, a generation convinced that their future is threatened. Climate change, the sixth mass extinction of species... within fifty years, their world could become uninhabitable. They keep warning, but nothing really changes. So they decide to go to the root of the problem: our relationship with the living world.
"These animals remind us of all this diversity and make me take a step back: what am I, a human being, compared to all these individuals?
