In this storm that is shaking the world, submerged at the same time by unprecedented political, social and especially ecological crises, the social and solidarity economy (SSE) is a real hope. More than a group of companies and entrepreneurs, it is a new development model, and probably the only one that can still save our planet and the human beings who inhabit it. The SSE has in its DNA: historical resistance to the capitalist model, the self-organisation of civil society, values based on responsibility and solidarity, an ability to respond to environmental threats, the primacy of the human being over profit...
It is all of this at once, in its historical evolution and the new forms it is taking in developed or developing countries, in particular through social entrepreneurship, i.e. participating in a society of solidarity and equity. It is a global and major response to the global crisis we have entered.
